Anthropic adds creative-tool connectors for Claude and launches creative workflow integrations

Category

Anthropic is releasing a new set of Claude connectors for creative tools and workflows, with launch partners including Blender, Autodesk, Adobe, Ableton, Splice, Affinity by Canva, Resolume, and SketchUp.

The connectors let Claude work alongside existing creative software rather than only through a standalone chat interface. The rollout includes product-documentation grounding for Ableton, Creative Cloud integrations for Adobe tools, automation support for Affinity workflows, conversational 3D modeling support for Autodesk Fusion and SketchUp, live visual control for Resolume tools, and direct sample search support for Splice.

Anthropic also highlighted a Blender connector built on MCP that gives Claude access to Blender’s Python API. It can be used to inspect scenes, analyze setups, and generate scripts that modify Blender projects. Anthropic has also joined the Blender Development Fund as a patron.

The announcement also referenced Claude Design, an Anthropic Labs product for generating and exporting design concepts, and said the company is working with art and design programs at RISD, Ringling, and Goldsmiths to test the tools in educational settings.

Notes for review: Vendor announcement. This is a product/connectors release rather than an independent benchmark or third-party report.
