OpenClaw publishes 2026.5.3 with WhatsApp recovery, gateway env preservation, plugin update handling, and Meet fixes
OpenClaw published stable release `2026.5.3` on GitHub with fixes spanning WhatsApp delivery, gateway restaging, plugin updates, realtime transcription, Google Meet, and memory packaging.
The release notes say the update allows `@whiskeysockets/libsignal-node` in `onlyBuiltDependencies` so pnpm v9+ no longer blocks the baileys git-tarball dependency and silences inbound WhatsApp agent replies. They also say Gateway restaging now preserves operator-added secrets in the Gateway env file while clearing OpenClaw-managed keys, and that trusted official npm plugin updates now recover correctly when `latest` resolves to an already-installed prerelease instead of the intended stable fallback.
The same release includes several Google Meet and realtime voice fixes, including waiting for `session.updated` before treating the bridge as connected, exposing realtime transcripts in status and logs, retrying delayed speech after Meet finishes joining, and bundling `apache-arrow` with the memory plugin package so LanceDB installs include the required runtime peer.
