OpenAI expands ChatGPT ads buying with self-serve tools, CPC bidding, and new measurement features
OpenAI announced new buying options for ChatGPT ads as it expands the company’s existing ads pilot. The company said advertisers can now buy ChatGPT ads through agency and technology partners or through a new beta self-serve Ads Manager in the United States.
OpenAI said the self-serve tool lets advertisers register, add payment information, set budgets and bids, upload ads, launch campaigns, and review performance. The company also said it is adding cost-per-click bidding alongside the pilot’s earlier cost-per-mille buying model.
The announcement said OpenAI is also rolling out expanded measurement tools including Conversions API and pixel-based measurement. OpenAI named agency partners Dentsu, Omnicom, Publicis, and WPP and technology partners Adobe, Criteo, Kargo, Pacvue, and StackAdapt.
